EON has been successfully delivering our Thriving Communities Program to 3 schools/communities in the Mid-West region of WA since 2019.
ATCO’s generous support will enable the 5-year Thriving Communities Program to continue to completion at Meekatharra, Mount Magnet and Yalgoo so that students living in these communities can continue to receive the vital health, well-being and educational benefits of ‘hands-on’ learning in the garden and in the kitchen.
Speaking on ATCO’s partnership with EON Foundation, Jen Kluken, ATCO Manager Community and Partnerships said;
“The Thriving Communities Program perfectly aligns with our focus on healthy, sustainable and prosperous communities. Not only is a nutritious diet the foundation of a healthy lifestyle, the gardens EON develop help build sustainable and resilient communities.”
EON Executive Chair Caroline de Mori added;
“We’re delighted to partner with ATCO to enable our program to continue in the beloved Mid-West region. ATCO’s investment assists us to continue our partnership with Meekatharra, Mount Magnet and Yalgoo to develop and grow edible gardens for a secure, free local supply of healthy fruit and vegetables, and deliver nutrition education about healthy food choices to the wonderful school students.”
