Thanks to Aboriginal Investment NT (AINT), 100 students at three more remote schools are learning how to grow, harvest and cook fresh healthy produce.
Having first approached EON in 2021, the communities of Timber Creek, Bulla and Amanbidji commenced their Thriving Communities programs in October, thanks to AINT’s support.
Located about 230kms east of Kununurra and 290kms west of Katherine, the EON team have been working closely with the schools and local communities ensuring everyone is committed to making the program a success.
In Amanbidji corn, beans, capsicum and pumpkin are already growing in their school garden, and will provide fresh produce when the community are inevitably cut off during the wet season.
