Taylor joins EON Foundation’s experienced team to build on the not-for-profit’s track record of improving health outcomes in remote Indigenous communities.
With offices in Perth and Katherine in the Northern Territory, Taylor will continue to build on EON’s 16-year success.
Deeply committed to community-led development, Taylor has a broad experience in building healthy communities and demonstrable success in driving organisational change and improvement for large scale community projects and initiatives.
‘I am passionate about EON Foundation’s work and strongly believe everyone should have the opportunity to live healthy lives. I find it truly extraordinary that in 2023 not all Australian’s have access to affordable healthy food.
‘The gap between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal health is not closing fast enough and I wanted to do something practical and tangible, so I am looking forward to continuing the important work of EON,’ said Taylor.
EON Foundation Executive Chairperson Caroline de Mori AM said the Foundation believed Taylor’s experience and skills would make a valuable contribution to improving the health of First Nations people through its grassroots nutrition program across WA and NT.
‘Her experience has shown she understands how to work at both international scale and grass roots levels delivering real change. Importantly, she also understands the changing nature of life in remote communities and the very real challenges.
‘Demand for our program continues to rise because families’ health continues to fail due to poor nutrition. Food insecurity and poor nutrition have been tested even further due to recent flooding and years of COVID,’ said de Mori.
Taylor said she was proud to be joining EON Foundation and supporting the brilliant teams in remote Australia to deliver real change at a time and in places where it is needed the most.
‘EON Foundation is having such an incredible health, social and economic impact where it’s needed the most, and I look forward to being part of the change in a practical way.’
