Accolades to Marble Bar Primary School!

We’re thrilled to share that Marble Bar Primary School has been nominated as one of six Western Australian primary school finalists for the 2021 Governor’s School STEM Awards- what an amazing achievement!

The awards recognise and celebrate Western Australian primary and secondary schools that demonstrate excellence in leadership, advocacy, engagement and achievements in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education.

Former EON Community Assistant Mason’s work with on-country STEM learning using the garden established by EON was a key part of their showcase to judges.

Shane, the school Principal, states, “Mason has been instrumental to our journey culminating in the school reaching the finals of the prestigious Governor’s School STEM Awards. We are so blessed to have Mason co-lead our STEM initiatives in his dual role as School Council Chairperson. Thank you so much Mason. We are so lucky to have you. Also a big shoutout to EON’s staff, both past and present, who have been amazing in transforming our STEM garden. The change in 5 years has been incredible for our community”.

We wish them luck for the awards ceremony at Government House on the 15th November!
