“Produced with the help of your child and EON Foundation”

The garden at South Hedland Primary School has been thriving through autumn under the watchful eyes and expert hands of EON’s Project Manager, Tim Richards.

With help from Community Assistant Azlan Shaw, Aunty Colleen and Natalie Bandarage (KindiLink Teacher) Tim recently harvested an abundance of delicious fresh produce from the EON edible garden at South Hedland Primary School and provided the Kindilink families with 14 take home veggie packs.

KindiLink is a program at South Hedland Primary School for 0 to 3 year-old Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, with children and their parents or caregivers able to attend ‘play and learn sessions’ twice per week.

The harvested produce- including thai basil, sweet basil, pomegranates, lemons, watermelons, kaffir lime leaves, snake beans and capsicums- was grown organically by the enthusiastic students and EON’s Community Assistants.
